Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 August 2026.

Synchroneers is a private journal for dreams, synchronicities, visions and readings. This page describes what the app collects, where it is processed, and how to get it back or delete it. It describes the app as it actually behaves; where a guarantee is enforced by the server rather than by the app, that is said plainly.

What we collect

Data Why
Email address, display name, and the identifier from your sign-in provider To create and authenticate your account.
Your entries — title, body, kind, the time it happened, attachments They are the product. They are stored so you can read them back.
Interpretations you request, and a count of how many you have used To return the reading and to enforce the monthly allowance.
Birth date, time and place, if you enter them To place the Moon in a house on the home screen. This is stored on your device only and is never uploaded.
Posts, comments and follows, if you use Collectives To show them to the people you shared them with.

Who processes it

What never reaches AI

An entry marked private is never sent for interpretation. This is enforced on the server, in the database, not by a switch the app could forget to send: the function that reserves an interpretation refuses any entry that is private or not AI-eligible, and a trigger deletes derived material if an entry is made private after the fact.

Your birth details are never sent for interpretation. They never leave your device at all.

The free allowance

Every account gets twenty interpretations per calendar month, counted on the server. Reopening a reading you already have costs nothing.

Sharing is a copy

Posting to a Collective creates a separate, redacted record that you confirm before it leaves. The Collective never gains access to the entry the post was made from. Deleting the post does not delete your entry, and deleting your entry does not delete the post.

Deleting your account

Settings → Delete account removes, in this order: every file you own across all three storage buckets (attachments, avatars and exports); every row keyed to you in the database, by cascade from your profile; and finally the sign-in identity itself. The order is deliberate — if any step fails, the account still signs in and the deletion can be retried, rather than leaving you locked out of data that still exists.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Deletion and export are available in the app. For anything else, or to raise a complaint, contact us at the address below. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Retention

Entries are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Interpretation usage counters are kept per calendar month. Deleted accounts are removed at the time of the request, not on a schedule.

Children

Synchroneers is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the date at the top changes with it.
